With the introduction of our MAZAK Super Quick Turn 18MS CNC Lathe ACME now has the ability to provide our customers with fully machined components in one operation in one machine thus saving our customers by virtue of reducing moving and setup times on other machines. This lathe is capable of turning, face milling, diameter milling, drilling, tapping and machining both sides of a workpiece whereby a component can be fully machined all over including milling, tapping and drilling before it is ejected by the parts catcher.

Portable Retinal Camera gaining recognition Acme Engineering is honoured to have been chosen by Vision Instruments to assist in the research, development and production of this world leading technology. Vision Instruments is developing a cost effective instrument for capturing digital images of the retina (inside surface) of the eye for public health and developing world retinopathy (retinal eye disease) screening programs. This ‘retinal camera’ is non-mydriatic (i.e. does not require pharmacological pupil dilation), portable and will require minimal training for use by paramedic staff.
