How Membership Works
You may purchase either a full or half membership.
When you purchase a full membership you buy a 2 x 4 day / 3 night package a half membership gives you a 1 x 4 day/ 3 night package. With each package you are entitled to bring one other angler or non fishing person for no extra charge. You may also bring up to 4 extra non fishing guests.
For 2010 the additional fee for extra persons will be $45.00 per night.
Your membership includes the use of Monty's Cabin. This beautifully furnished cottage styled dwelling is located on the edge of Monty's Lake and offers modern 3 bedroom accommodation. A cosy wood fire and outside hot tub make it the ultimate in relaxation. A well appointed kitchen with all the mod cons enables the self caterer to cook up a storm.
There is nothing like sitting on Monty's verandah in the evening and watching the abundant birdlife whilst sipping a glass of wine!
As each package has set dates for 2010, members are able to plan the necessary flights to Hobart well ahead. All of the major airlines fly to Hobart and airfares are very cheap if you book well in advance. Membership dates will be fixed and permanent and will follow on each year. This makes planning your yearly calendar simple.
When arriving in Hobart you have two travel options to reach Twin Lakes. The distance from Hobart is about 50 kms and it is important for you to know that for you to know that there are sections of gravel road. You may elect to hire a car and drive yourself or you could be met by a Twin Lakes staff member who will collect you and return you to the airport at the conclusion of your stay. There is an additional fee for this round trip and is limited to four persons and luggage per vehicle. A party of six will need two vehicles. The cost for the round trip per vehicle for 2010 is $100.
Costs
The cost for each membership for the year is
Full Membership Half Membership
2 x 4 days/3 nights - 1 person $4400.00 1 x 4 days/3 nights - 1 person $2200.00
2 people 2200.00 per person - 2 people $1100.00 per person
All full memberships include free airport transfers!
A member may bring up to 4 extra guests.
Remember, only 2 fisherman are permitted on Twin Lakes at any given time. This is to give optimum recovery time between packages and prevent over fishing. The cost of transport from the airport or your hotel to the Twin Lakes and return is $100.00 This is with a maximum of 4 persons and their luggage. Any parties of 5 or 6 will need another vehicle which can be provided by Twin Lakes.
The $100.00 fee applies to each vehicle used and is paid directly to Ian and Rosie Cook. Each membership includes full use of Monty's Cabin. This cabin has excellent self catering facilities with all the comforts of home. After meeting you at the airport or hotel our driver will stop at the local supermarket in Sorell for your party to purchase food and beverages for your four day stay.
Twin Lakes also offer fully catered options. Breakfast, lunch and dinner along with morning and afternoon tea are all available. Rosie is a specialist in country style cooking and many an anglers mouth has watered at the wonderful aromas from Rosie's kitchen. The style of catered packages is tailored to members requirements and can be discussed with Ian and Rosie before they arrive in Tasmania.
A fully cooked breakfast, with cereal, coffee and juice is just $15 per head. A two course lunch is $15 per head and a three course dinner is $40 per head. As Twin Lakes is not a licenced venue all alcohol is to be BYO.
